NRCA FINALS RODEO ENTRY INFORMATION

The top 12 cowboys are taken to the Finals.  We have a sudden death finals to compete for our saddles.  In the event we do not have 12 qualified contestants then the first card holders in the event, that call in during entries, may have a spot.

 

ENTRIES FOR THE FINALS CAN BE CALLED IN BETWEEN NOON AND 6:00PM  MDT ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 3^RD -- PHONE NO.---307-283-2502.
EVERYONE MUST CALL TO BE ENTERED AND MUST CALL IN THEIR OWN ENTRY (including Team Roping).  ENTRIES WILL CLOSE ON NOVEMBER 3^RD  AT 6:00PM SHARP!!!!  IF SOME OF THE TOP 12 DO NOT CALL IN, THE PERSONS FURTHER DOWN IN THE STANDINGS THAT CALL DURING ENTRY TIMES WILL BE TAKEN RIGHT AT THAT TIME!!  If interested---call!! 

 

ENTRY FEES MUST BE PAID BY NOVEMBER 7^TH  WITH NO EXCEPTIONS UNLESS ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN O.K.'D BY ME!!!!(Programs have to be made up and printed)  THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT YOU MAY BE REPLACED IF I HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR MONEY OR HAVE NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF A MONEY PROBLEM. THERE ARE NO DRAW OUTS AFTER ENTRIES CLOSE EXCEPT FOR DR. OR VET RELEASES.  YOU WILL BE CHARGED ENTRIES AND FINED FOR NO SHOWS.  Entry fees are $200.00 an event plus a possible added amount for donations not received (get a donation now to cover your cost).  Stalls will be a flat fee of $30 per stall.  YOU MUST RESERVE THEM DURING ENTRIES, SEND THE MONEY with you entry FEES and there will be NO refunds on stall money.  If I have extra stalls at the Finals they will cost $40 per stall.  REMEMBER, YOU DO NOT HAVE A STALL UNLESS YOUR  MONEY IS INCLUDED WITH YOUR ENTRY FEES.

 

You must attend the awards presentation on the final day of the Finals Rodeo to receive your awards---this includes Rookies, All-Arounds, fast time buckles and any other awards offered.

 

Everyone look over the standings.  If you feel they are incorrect please call me so we can check them again.  The Finals Rodeo and Entry Time is too late.  ROOKIES, this means you also!!

 

PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DIRECTOR(S) IN YOUR EVENT(S) AND HELP OUT IF NEEDED.  SOME OF YOU WILL BE PAYING FOR THE WHOLE SADDLE AND BUCKLE IN YOUR EVENT IF YOU DO NOT HELP OUT NOW!  ALL DONATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN BEFORE ENTRY TIME (Nov 3^rd  ) SO WHEN YOU ENTER I CAN TELL YOU THE EXACT AMOUNT YOU WILL OWE.

 

The information on jackpot team roping and barrel race, etc. will be in the future issues of the Wrangler and on our web site.  All this information needs to be finalized.  Be watching for it.

Thanks for any help you give.  Deadlines have to be meant to set-up the Finals so all deadlines above are important and final.  Tell your buddies about them because “I didn't know” will not be an acceptable excuse.

CHECK-IN TIME is from 2:00PM to 5:00PM on Friday, November 28^th at the CLARION WESTERN INN LOBBY.  You will receive your wristband and one companion wristband, which will be put on at that time.  The COMPANION MUST ACCOMPANY YOU AT CHECK-IN TIME to receive their wristband.  If you do not get a band during check-in time you will have to pay to get into the rodeo!!!  Stall fees are $40.00 total at check-in time if there are stalls available.  STALL #’S WILL BE ISSUED.  DO NOT PUT YOUR HORSES IN A STALL UNTIL YOU HAVE CHECKED IN!!!

 

THE CLARION WESTERN INN is offering special rates for NRCA Contestants and their families.  The cost is $89.00, plus tax, a room per night for 2 to 4 people and $10.00 extra if you need a roll-away which are first come first served. Breakfast is included plus you'll receive a 15% discount at Bootleggers, the Italian restaurant, and a discount coupon for Mountain Mud Espresso.  YOU MUST GIVE YOUR NRCA CARD # when registering and calling for room reservations.  THE DEADLINE FOR RECEIVING THIS RATE IS NOVEMBER 21^st.  By reserving a room at the Clarion Western Inn you are helping the Association in keeping cost down for the Finals Rodeo Convention.  The number to call is 307-686-3000.  There is a swimming pool at the motel.  The Clarion Western Inn is located at the 3rd exit into Gillette coming from the east.

On Saturday afternoon and evening, there is a wedding party scheduled in the motel.  The Tiki Bar and dance will be for wedding guests ONLY.  However, the NRCA will be holding a dance at the Camplex.  There will be a $5.00 admittance charge or $8.00 a couple(male & female).  We will have a bar available there.  There will be no Peanut Gallory available. Please respect the wedding party.

 

The General Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29^th at 2:00PM.  Location of the meeting room will be published later.  There is a $25.00 fine to contestants, contractors, judges, directors and etc. for not attending the meeting.  There is a directors meeting at 1:00PM.  The event directors up for election are:  PRESIDENT, BULL RIDING, CALF ROPING, OLD MEN’S BREAKAWAY, LADIES BREAKAWAY, GOAT TYING AND TEAM ROPING HEELER .  ALL MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE MEETING WHETHER A CONTESTANT OR NOT.

 

The purse for the 2008 Finals Rodeo will be $3500 an event and double for Team Roping.
